The platform already accumulates several partners in Brazil and worldwide, and is preparing to have an even more transformative 2021

Since 2018, Bright Cities has established its presence in the country and abroad as the main Brazilian platform capable of creating smart cities with any nationality or size.

In its 3 years of operation in the market, BC already has great partners such as the cities of Curitiba (PR), Campinas (SP), Aracaju (SE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Vila Nova dos Martírios (MA), Tubarão (SC), Cataguases ( MG) and Riyadh (capital of Saudi Arabia), who are now able to see more clearly the plans and actions that must be taken in order to offer cities more inclusive, connected and resilient.

To further enhance user experience in our platform, new features have been added, and now, in addition to diagnosing, collecting and analyzing data from more than 150 indicators from 10 areas of public management, and besides developing solutions scripts, technologies and smart initiatives for cities, it is also possible to see which Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) each indicator is related to. Thus, citizens and public managers can find out if the region at hand is about to achieve the goals of the UN Agenda 2030 in each of the areas analyzed by our platform, and can consult which ISO each indicator is linked to.

This year, the company stood out in third place as one of the big winners of the 4th BrazilLAB Acceleration Program, among more than 300 startups registered to participate in the first innovation hub in the country focused on training and connecting entrepreneurs to government institutions. Bright Cities was also one of the 17 startups selected by Apex (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) for the Startout Brasil 2019 initiative, in Boston.

On Brazilian ground, it has participated in events such as Smart City Expo Curitiba, Connected Smart Cities, Welcome Tomorrow and Futurecom. Abroad, it landed with two presentations scheduled for the largest meeting in the world on Smart Cities, the Smart City Expo World Congress 2019. During the international tour, it launched the Leading Cities U. S. Smart Cities Rating System, a tool developed in partnership with U.S. organization Leading Cities, which diagnosed the biggest 500 american cities. In 2020, BC was also one of the media partners of the event’s digital edition, Smart City Live, in addition to being present at so many other meetings that accelerated the exchange of experiences on how to transform our cities into smarter places.
